Our week in Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon was soooo much fun. We stayed at a resort called Villa del Palmar and chose to do the all inclusive package. We decided on this trip that all inclusive is the way to go. We had a few adventures while we were there, but also really enjoyed our time to relax after such a great wedding.
We were so excited to be leaving!
This was the view from our balcony. It was so beautiful.
Everywhere we went, there were amazing
views. I don't think I have taken
so many scenic pictures on any other
trip I have ever been on.
Below is pictures of our resort. The two with all of the palm trees were taken facing out from the front of the resort and the other one was taken from when we were on the water taxi.
The first full day we were in Cabo, we took a water taxi from the beach in front of our resort to Lovers Beach. It was a short ride and the water was pretty choppy, but it was still fun. We were the only people on the boat that spoke English. Lovers Beach is pretty neat because of all of the rock formations. The beach that the water taxi dropped us off at was really crowded, but the rock formations kind of block off other parts of the beach, so we walked over to another section. We had that whole beach to ourselves. After we played in the ocean for a while, we decided to explore a little. The sand on the beaches in Cabo is pretty rough, so our feet were really sore after the exploring, but it was totally worth it.
These three picture were taken while we were on the water taxi. The water was such a pretty color!
This is us on Lovers Beach.
The peninsula had two sides (obviously, haha), but there were huge rock formations that separated the two sides. there was a break in the rocks that you could walk through to get to the other side, but swimming was not allowed there because the waves were so dangerous.
While we were exploring, we found a little cave. We thought it was pretty cool.
The next day we decided to go snorkeling. We took a boat called the Cabo Escape. It took us out to see El Arco, which is a huge natural arch at the end of the peninsula. Then we went for a long ride to get to where we were going to snorkel. Once we were there, we got our snorkel gear and jumped in. The give each group 45 minutes to snorkel, and there is a guy in a kayak that feeds the fish so they will swarm under where we were swimming. It was so much fun! After snorkeling, we went back to the boat and they had fixed a huge taco lunch with steak and chicken tacos. Marshall really enjoyed them, and he even used the super super spicy sauce that we were warned was "made by Mexicans". We had a Mexican family sitting across from us and they told Marshall he was crazy for eating that because it is even too hot for them.
While we were waiting to board the boat, we hung out at the marina for a little bit. It was cute, but sooo hot.
I wanted to keep taking pictures, but I think Marshall got a little tired of it. :)
El Arco de Cabo San Lucas
After snorkeling, we both had huge lines on our faces from our masks. I didn't get a picture of Marshall's though.
On our next day in Cabo, we went on an ATV trip. The took us up into the mountains (which were really not all that impressive) for 45 minutes, then down to a beach where swimming is not allowed for 45 minutes of free time. It was really fun, although we payed for a "double" ATV, which in Mexico means a single rider ATV with a pillow tied on the cargo rack for a second passenger to sit on. We had fun laughing about this with another couple on our tour.
We took a picture of the "never carry passengers" warning on the ATV as a reminder of how ridiculous it was.
The restaurant we ate at the most while we were there was called Bella California and they served Italian food. There actually wasn't any Mexican food served at our resort. I guess they cater to Americans. Anyway, it was right on the beach and they served the best strawberry daiquiris we have ever had. We had these daiquiris with every meal we had, and while we were at the pool.
After so much adventure, all we wanted to do on our last full day in Cabo was relax. We spent the whole day lounging by the pool, then walked down to the beach that night to read and watch the sunset. It was a perfect last day to our trip.
Isn't my husband so handsome?
We both have agreed that there is no way we could have pictured a better wedding or honeymoon. We are so lucky to have each other!
More great pics! What a fun honeymoon! All-inclusive is definitely the way to go! Looks like you guys had some great excursions and lots of sun! Truman only likes vacations where there's lots of sun haha.
