This year we decided to plan a "surprise" date for each other every month. In January, we went to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. It was so much fun!
Our February date was to The Melting Pot on Valentine's Day. Marshall went above and beyond to make this date special for us. The food was amazing and Marshall told me he loves me for the first time!
In March, Marshall took me to Park City for my birthday. We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, then walked around for a while. After we got home, Marshall gave me a birthday cake and sang to me (I have it on video, but I'm not so sure Marshall wants you to see it).
In April, we had some really great surprise dates. I'm going to put up another post after this one to show more pictures of one of the dates, but the other date was Easter Sunday. Marshall made me the tastiest strawberry french toast for breakfast, then sent me on an Easter egg hunt right after. We were able to have a great time dying eggs the night before too.
My favorite date (by far) was another one of our April dates. We took a trip down to Vegas for Sarah and Austins wedding on April 14th. On Saturday night, Marshall took me on our first date again. We went to a really good pizzeria, Settebello, then walked over the the little park area near the restaurant. This is one of my favorite places with white sparkly lights on all of the trees, background music from unseen speakers and benches where you can sit and relax. Marshall and I sat on one of the benches, then Marshall got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect!! I couldn't have pictured anything more romantic and meaningful than how Marshall proposed.
Marshall knew I would say yes, but still looked a little nervous. It was so cute!
Another fun thing we were able to do in April was to attend stake conference in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. The seating in there is super uncomfortable, but it is so cool to be able to go to church on Temple Square. After conference was over, we decided to walk around for a while. Everything on Temple Square was blooming, so it was a perfect Sunday to enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful flowers.
Marshall and I have so much fun together and I consider myself the luckiest girl ever since I get to marry this boy!
Cute summary! It's nice to be able to put the story with the pictures!
