I have been meaning to put pictures of Isla's nursery up on our blog, but haven't gotten around to it until now. I didn't really like any of the themes I saw for girl nurseries, and I knew I wanted something very airy and feminine. I stumbled upon the print that is hanging over Isla's crib on OopsyDaisy.com and decided that is what I would base the nursery around. I absolutely love how everything has turned out. I still need to finish a few things, like the chest in front of the window and I need to hem the curtains.
I love how everything turned out on the changing table. The piggy bank and the unicorn music box were mine when I was little. I made the two I's, the bow holder and the stacked boxes. Isla's Grams (Marshall's mom) made the two fabric baskets that match her crib blanket.
Isla's Grams is amazing at sewing and made the crib blanket and the super cute pillow on her rocking chair. Marshall and I found the floral fabric at JoAnn's and I found the vine minky on fabric.com.
I saw a mobile on pinterest that I loved and I could not find it for sale anywhere, so I made it. It took my entire pregnancy, and cutting the felt for the flowers was really not enjoyable since I had carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my wrists during pregnancy. But it is exactly what I wanted and I think it really adds a lot to the nursery.
The paint color is Behr's Champagne Ice. It is hard to see in the pictures, but is kind of a peachy pink. It is the perfect color for our baby girl's nursery.
